CALL TO ACTION : URGE REPRESENTATIVES TO SUSTAIN THE VETO FOR HB 318 & SB 153
Josh Stein has done his part — he vetoed HB 318 and SB 153, two dangerous anti-immigrant bills that would increase racial profiling, expand ICE collaboration, and harm trust between our communities and law enforcement.
Now it's our turn to continue the pressure. The NC General Assembly has the opportunity to either sustain or override the veto, and we need your voice to stop it.
👉 Sign this letter and email representatives today to urge them to sustain the veto and reject these harmful bills.
HB 318 would force local law enforcement to do ICE’s work.
SB 153 would allow sheriffs to act as immigration agents under a federal program notorious for abuse.
These bills don’t make us safer — they make our communities more vulnerable.
We can’t let that happen.
📣 Take action now. Help us flood inboxes before the override vote.
Let’s stand up for immigrant families and stop these bills in their tracks.
