Canada must process Palestinian student visas now
Baraa, 23, was accepted into the Master of Computer Science program at the University of New Brunswick. He was supposed to begin his studies in September, but instead he remains in a displacement camp in the bombed-out city of Khan Younis in Gaza. Canada won’t issue him a study permit until he submits biometrics, but to do so, he must leave Gaza, which is virtually impossible without already holding a travel visa.
