Capital One: Stop Capitalizing Off Genocide

By sending this letter, whether or not you have a banking connection to Capital One, you can help us add pressure to get them to stop doing business with Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest arms manufacturer.

Capital One should not be allowed to keep a hip, cool image while profiting off genocide. If you can do more than send the letter, see below for other ways you can pressure Capital One.

Capital One's CORE VALUES:

  • Open: But not about being complicit in genocide. Capital One is a major lender to ELBIT SYSTEMS, Israel's largest weapons manufacturer. From 2024-2025, Capital One Financial's gross profit climbed to over $42 billion (macrotrends.net)
  • Teamwork: Collaborating on a half a billion dollar loan to ELBIT with 5 other banks: Bank of America, BMO U.S., BNP Paribas, Regions Bank, and Wells Fargo
  • Integrity: Enabling over 2 years of mass slaughter and starvation of more than 680,000 Palestinians

Elbit Systems profits from occupation, apartheid and genocide:

  • Elbit supplies the Israeli military with 85% of the military drones that have been used to decimate Gaza, terrorize millions, and ruthlessly murder hundreds of thousands of Palestinians
  • Elbit drones and munitions have caused LIFE-ALTERING INJURIES to at least 130,000 Palestinians and ORPHANED over 40,000 Palestinian children. Approximately 2 million people—almost all Gaza's living population— have been forcibly displaced
  • The US government also deploys Elbit's apartheid technology, including 160-foot-tall towers that provide 24/7 surveillance at the US-Mexico border to arrest and imprison migrants seeking asylum.

What you can do:

You can help pressure Capital One to stop doing business with Elbit by closing your account and/or credit cards (Capital One or Discover)
  • If you are not ready to do this, the letter in this action tells them you are seriously considering doing this if they do not stop doing business with Elbit
  • If you don't have a card or account with Capital One, the letter tells them you won't be getting one until they stop funding genocide
