When tenant's rights are under attack, what do we do? Stand up, fight back!

Tenants have been organizing against slum conditions at Channel Square Apartments in Southwest, dealing with recurring mold and mushroom growth, raw sewage leaks, and the heat cutting out in the dead of winter. Instead of fixing these issues, management decided to arrest a tenant leader attending a meeting in her own building.

Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen styles himself a progressive champion of affordable housing and working families. We're calling on him to support tenants in his ward who are facing illegal landlord retaliation for the simple fact of fighting for dignified living conditions.
