City Council Resolution Against LA ART Gondola
Dear Friends,
We are on the verge of winning our fight to stop Frank McCourt’s gondola. And we need your help!
The Los Angeles City Councilmembers who represent the communities that would be directly impacted by the gondola — CD1, CD13, and CD14 — have introduced a resolution opposing the gondola that urges the Metro board of directors to deny approval of the project’s new Environmental Impact Report.
This could be the pivotal step that stops the gondola once and for all.
Will you please send an email to all City Councilmembers, the Mayor, and their staff urging them support this resolution?
Our message is simple:
· The communities that would experience the harmful impacts of the gondola are opposed to it.
· Their local elected officials in the City, those closest to their communities who best represent them, are opposed to the gondola.
· We’re urging the Metro board to defer to their judgment.
With just two clicks, you can send an email. You can also personalize the email before sending it if you would like.
If you have a couple of minutes, we also encourage you to submit the same comments to the City Council file for this resolution, which will ensure that your email is part of the official record. You can do that here: https://cityclerk.lacity.org/publiccomment/?cfnumber=25-1295.
NOTE: After submitting your comment at the City Clerk's website, you will need to check for a confirmation email in your inbox (or Spam folder) and click on a link to confirm your public comment. It can take 24 to 48 hours for your comment to appear on the webpage for the council file.
Thank you so much for your support. With your help, WE WILL Stop the Gondola!
Sincerely,
Stop the Gondola Coalition
