MA Needs Bold Climate Action

House with renewable energy

This summer, we’ve seen some of the hottest days on record, as well as erratic weather patterns from flooding to wildfire smoke. It’s clear: we are already living with the impacts of climate change, and we need bold, urgent, and comprehensive action to address it.

We need to move forward on all fronts to climate-proof our infrastructure and transition to a green economy. Doing so must include steps like

  • Putting a moratorium on new gas infrastructure expansion so that we can avoid entrenching unsustainable fossil fuel use

  • Scaling up investments in green retrofits with a Zero-Carbon Renovation Fund

  • Ensuring that the major polluters who caused the climate crisis have to pay for the cost of climate resilience
