Tell Con Ed No Rate Hikes For More Fossil Fuels

Right now, Consolidated Edison, the corporate utility covering NYC and Westchester wants to raise our rates, the highest in the nation, to expand more fossil fuels in an opaque process in a boardroom.

We must flood the system with public comments like they have never seen before.
This form will help you create a public comment directly to the Public Service Commission.

Start by entering your information and click "Start Writing" that will take you to the letter-writing-prompt with helpful tips i.e. You can begin by introducing yourself and where you live. Feel free to include a personal story about how high rates affect your life, about how climate change or pollution affects your life or the lives of loved ones, and/or why energy democracy is important to you.

Top-line points to mention in Public Comments:

  1. Don’t raise our rates

  2. No new money for fracked gas infrastructure

  3. Con Ed should be reducing gas use through energy efficiency, not expanding

  4. Since Con Ed is a public utility there needs to be more public input in this process

Matter Number: 19-00317 Case Number: 19-G-0066 Title of Matter: Proceeding on Motion of the Commission as to the Rates, Charges, Rules and Regulations of Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. for Electric Service.
