Congress must say NO more funding for Trump’s mass detention and deportations
Right now Congress is in negotiations that could result in a staggering amount of additional resources funneled to the Trump administration to continue its mass detention and deportation agenda while cutting funding for programs and services that support everyone’s needs, like healthcare and food assistance. Write your Members of Congress today to tell them: NO MORE money for Trump's cruel plans.
This week Congress is taking the next steps in a process called reconciliation, which makes it easier for the party in power to drastically change how the government spends its money. On the line is billions of dollars that could go towards immigration enforcement that separates families, disrupts communities’ entire social and economic infrastructure, and commits countless human rights abuses instead of vital programs like food stamps, medicaid and student loans.
This is an outrage, but you have an opportunity to make sure your elected officials do NOT approve this funding. Join us in urging your representatives to block the administration’s devastating attacks on immigrants by rejecting funding for enforcement, detention, and deportation throughout this year’s appropriations process.
