Congress must say NO more funding for Trump’s mass detention and deportations

This week the House of Representatives plans to vote on a budget reconciliation bill that could result in a staggering $150 billion dollars for immigration enforcement, including $45 billion for immigration detention -- that is 13 times Immigration and Custom's Enforcement (ICE) current annual budget for detention. As Republican lawmakers aim to turbo-charge Trump's detention and deportation agenda the same bill will cut funding for programs and services that support everyone’s needs, like healthcare and food assistance. Write your Members of Congress today to tell them to VOTE NO on the reconciliation bill.

Reconciliation is a budget process that makes it easier for the party in power to drastically change how the government spends its money. On the line is billions of dollars that could go towards immigration enforcement that separates families, disrupts communities’ entire social and economic infrastructure, and commits countless human rights abuses instead of vital programs like food stamps, medicaid and student loans.

This is an outrage, but you have an opportunity to make sure your elected officials do NOT approve this funding. Join us in urging your representatives to block the administration’s devastating attacks on immigrants by rejecting funding for enforcement, detention, and deportation throughout this year’s appropriations process.
