Contact CA Lawmakers and Governor Newsom! TELL them to FUND Reparations in the 2025 Budget, SPEND the money right, and STOP Reparations funds from getting into the wrong hands!!

Last year (2024), for the first time ever, California lawmakers and Governor Gavin Newsom approved funds in the state budget for "Reparations Implementation".

BUT, last year's Reparations funds are STILL sitting in the budget, unspent.

And NOW, it's 2025, a new year, and the Governor recently released his proposal for a new budget that did not include ANY additional funding for Reparations.

(Keep in mind that California's state budget is nearly one-half of a TRILLION dollars every year and that our state has the 4th largest economy in the entire world)

Here's what WE want the Legislature and Governor to do:
1. FUND Reparations in the new 2025 budget.
2. SPEND last year's Reparations funds to implement Reparations policies.
3. STOP any Reparations funds from being given to non-profit organizations, foundations, private funds, or any other non-publicly accountable entities!
