Contact Gov. Hochul asking her to sign Bill S3629A/A5850 banning the use of wild animals in traveling acts
New York State Residents ONLY, please enter the information in the form on the right to send an email expressing your support for Bill S3629A/A5850 to Gov. Hochul who has the opportunity to sign this bill into law.
Why should you support bill S3629A/A5850?
- The bill prohibits the exhibition of big cats, kangaroos, non-human primates, bears, and wallabies in circuses and traveling acts.
These animals, often captured from the wild, suffer in confined and unnatural conditions and are subject to stress, fear, and physical handling.
Animal trainers have been attacked, and sometimes killed, in front of audiences.
Much of NYS already prohibits wild animals in traveling shows and now we can put an end to it entirely in NYS.
