Demand that CRA Investigate HESEG Foundation and the Gerald Schwartz and Heather Reisman Foundation
The HESEG FOUNDATION and its main patron, The Gerald Schwartz and Heather Reisman Foundation are in direct violation of CRA rules for registered charities.
Take a minute to let CRA know you won't stand for your tax dollars being used to subsidize war crimes and genocide.
In 2005 Reisman and Schwartz established the HESEG Foundation for the benefit and support of “lone soldiers” defined as non-Israeli citizens who serve or have served in Israel’s military. This activity is in clear violation of CRA regulations which explicitly states that assistance to a foreign military is not a charitable activity.
Since 1997, The Gerald Schwartz and Heather Reisman Foundation has donated over $441 million dollars to other charities. Nearly 45% of the amount has gone to the HESEG Foundation. This amounts to almost $200 million dollars which represents a full 99% of HESEG’s funding.
Another 30% of The Gerald Schwartz and Heather Reisman Foundation donations has gone to other organizations that funnel money to Israel. In total, over $325 million in tax-subsidized dollars have gone to Israel through the Canada-to-Israel charity pipeline. In other words, Schwartz and Reisman are using their foundation’s charity status to send enormous wealth to Israel, most notably through the HESEG Foundation, at great cost to Canadian taxpayers.
