CSU: Keep your Promises to Workers!
Students and families, we want you to know that Teamsters Local 2010 Skilled Trades workers take pride in maintaining safe campus infrastructure such as classrooms and labs, student housing, student health facilities and conference facilities. We’re here to support you!
However, CSU administration does not value our critical work and is attempting to take away raises and salary step structures that our workers earned and desperately need. Many workers’ salaries were stagnant for decades after the CSU took away a regular salary step system nearly 30 years ago.
Student learning isn’t possible without our work, but CSU executives rake in the cash while students suffer tuition hikes and CSU workers scramble to make ends meet. CSU executives have demanded to re-negotiate promised raises and salary steps even after Teamsters and other CSU Unions fought to win full state funding for the CSU—and the Legislature bent over backward to give it to them.
Help us ensure the CSU fulfills its public mission to provide high quality, safe, supportive, and accessible higher education by supporting the faculty and staff who keep classes and campuses running. Sign our petition to CSU Chancellor Mildred Garcia today!
