Cut Utility Profits, Keep Green Jobs

Since our movement stopped the Climate Rollback Bill (H.4744) in November, House Leadership has spent the last few months redrafting the bill. After many meetings, listening sessions, and emails, the bill has finally made its way through the House Ways and Means Committee. It's up for a vote tomorrow (Thursday).

The redrafted Energy Omnibus Bill (H.5151) has many major improvements, including ones we fought for. But there's a giant poison pill: it would cut $1 billion from the ~$1.5 billion Mass Save Budget for 2027. This would gut our main effort to save residents money with clean heat.

Legislators who are serious about saving ratepayers money would take a look at the obscene scale of corporate profiteering, not a program that saves residents $3.51 in benefits with every dollar spent. For more information on what's in the bill, click here.

We need you to send our priority amendments to H.5151 to your State Representative as soon as possible.
