It’s decision time for the Afon Cynfal.
After six years and repeated requests for more information, Eryri National Park Planning Authority is finally set to decide on the fate of Cwm Cynfal on Wednesday, 21st January.
Despite over 1000 objections to the scheme, the planning officer has recommended the scheme for approval, claiming that the development is “wholly exceptional circumstances”. If the scheme were granted planning permission, it would set a precedent for developments within SSSIs.
Cwm Cynfal is a truly exceptional place, but it is not a power station. Join us in reminding the planning committee that they should be putting conservation first in a national park. You only have a couple of days to act.
