The Children’s Holistic Immigration Representation Project (CHIRP) is on the chopping block from the 2026-2027 California budget and we need elected officials to prioritize this work now more than ever. As attacks on immigrant parents and children continue across the country we need California to show up as the national example.

CHIRP’s statewide network brings together trusted legal providers and social workers to provide unaccompanied immigrant children with well-rounded care while they navigate our increasingly hostile immigration system. CHIRP ensures that no child is left to defend themselves alone while also providing them the support they need outside of the courtroom.
