Demand Congress release the names of members who used taxpayer money to silence sexual harassment claims now

Members of Congress have been able to quietly settle sexual harassment claims using $18 million of taxpayer money, to shield themselves from consequences while victims were forced into silence.

That system created a culture where misconduct could continue without accountability.

Now, a bipartisan group of lawmakers is trying to change that. More than 60 House members, Republicans and Democrats, have pushed to force the release of the names tied to these payouts. The list exists. Congress is still withholding it.

From Republican Nancy Mace to Democrats Pramila Jayapal and Ro Khanna, this is one of the rare moments where members from both parties are aligned on a single demand: the public has a right to know.

We already know what happens when misconduct is exposed. Republican Tony Gonzales and Democrat Eric Swalwell both resigned after serious allegations became public and bipartisan pressure mounted.

Their cases show that accountability only happens when the truth comes out. But for every case that reaches the public, there are others buried behind settlements paid with taxpayer dollars.

This is not about party politics. It is about power, abuse, and whether elected officials are allowed to hide behind secrecy while using public money to protect themselves.

Click “START WRITING” to demand Congress release the full list of names and end the use of taxpayer-funded settlements to silence victims once and for all.
