Bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia Home

Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia -- a father, a legally protected Maryland resident and a SMART Local 100 sheet metal apprentice --  was wrongfully deported to El Salvador on March 15, 2025. Despite a 2019 court order preventing his deportation due to gang-related safety concerns, the Trump administration sent him to the notorious Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT), a facility known for its inhumane conditions

The Supreme Court unanimously ruled that the deportation was illegal and instructed the Trump administration to facilitate his return. However, the White House has failed to comply, citing jurisdictional limitations and continuing to label Abrego Garcia as a gang member without evidence .

This White House defiance undermines the rule of law and threatens the rights of American citizens. Senator Chris Van Hollen's recent visit to El Salvador highlighted the dire situation, yet Abrego Garcia remains imprisoned without due process.

We call on all members of Congress to demand that the White House comply with court orders and take immediate action to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia back to the United States. He deserves family reunification and due process.

This is not just a legal issue; it's a moral imperative. Stand with Kilmar. Stand for justice.
