Demand Novavax Accessibility in BC for Fall 2026
We have good news! We have confirmed that Novavax will be made available again in BC, for the fall vaccination campaign. Thank you to everyone who sent letters, called their officials, and advocated for this very important win!
We encourage people to continue applying pressure, writing and calling their public officials to ensure that Novavax is adequately distributed and made accessible to the people who need it.
We
have been told that purchasing of the vaccine will be based on past
uptake, which was low due to a delayed rollout and severely restricted
availability, contributing to perceived “low demand”.
If people are not made aware that Novavax is available and how to find
it, then this may repeat itself, with the government becoming less
likely to order it in future seasons.
Please use our online tool to contact
the BCCDC and your policy-makers today, and tell them we need Novavax
to be made available in a timely fashion, with adequate supply and clear
messaging that it is available, safe and effective and how to access
it.
