Support striking educators on the North Shore by contacting the Leadership of Salem State University to call on them to stand up for the future of public education. As a landmark public higher education institution that has trained many North Shore educators, one that is home to thousands of our region’s students, it is vital that Salem State leadership stand up for quality and well-funded school systems. They can’t remain silent as leaders like Trustee Thatcher Kezer actively harm and undermine the public education system of communities they are supposed to lead. Support striking educators in Marblehead, Gloucester, and Beverly by writing a letter to Salem State Leadership to ask that they call on local elected officials in those communities to get to the table and negotiate the contracts that their students and staff deserve.
