Demand Spotify drop ICE ads and stop helping the Trump administration's hate-fueled recruitment now!

Spotify is running paid ICE recruitment ads that use dehumanizing language against immigrants and promote an agency with a long record of civil rights violations. These ads attempt to normalize ICE’s raids, detentions, and abusive practices, and Spotify is profiting from that messaging.

ICE has been repeatedly investigated for racial profiling, unconstitutional arrests, abusive treatment in detention, and widespread misconduct. When Spotify amplifies ICE’s recruitment efforts, it lends legitimacy to an agency known for tearing families apart. No platform built on global culture should help spread propaganda that targets immigrant communities.

Spotify defended its decision by calling the ads “policy compliant,” but compliance is not leadership. Spotify needs stronger rules that prohibit government agencies from using the platform to promote discrimination, intimidation, or violence. ICE recruitment ads clearly meet that standard.

Spotify’s artists and listeners have spoken out, and the backlash is growing. The company must immediately remove these ads, issue a public apology, and update its advertising policies to ensure that hateful or dehumanizing content is never approved again.
