The Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution defines the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Today we have government entities interacting with corporations to buy data and obtain personal information about people, circumventing a court of law. Further we have government agencies using AI tools to share sensitive information about people across agencies, including law enforcement and ICE. This practice must stop. Colorado is leading the way by creating laws that seek to protect Coloradans from these practices.
