Demand the reversal of the campus ban by Glasgow University pro-Palestine student activist

On April 1st, student activists with the Glasgow University Justice for Palestine Society disrupted several talks on offer-holders day. They took 5 minutes to educate potential students on the complicity of the institution they are visiting, and why they should not pick glasgow.

Desperate to stifle dissent, Glasgow University banned a student part of this protest on the same day, 10 minutes after she stepped foot off campus. This action demonstrates that the university administration will do anything to protect their share in genocide and their reputation. They will falsely claim we are causing “fear and distress to minors”, as they claimed to the student in question, before ending their complicity in the real distress of the Palestinian people.

Glasgow is continuing to set a dangerous precedent for student-led pro-Palestine protests in Scotland. In the past 2 weeks alone:

  • 18 police officers picketed Dar Ahmad Manasra
  • Police presence at 4 protests.
  • NEW: Student banned from campus for disruption

This will not be the last time the university bans a student for peaceful protest, and we must show that we will resist it every single time. Demand that the university reverse the campus ban.
