Do not pre-empt states from regulating AI to protect student privacy, safety and the quality of education

Because of pressure from the AI industry, the Senate and House are considering inserting a provision in the National Defense Authorization Act, now in conference committee, that would prevent states from being able to regulate the use of AI, including in schools.

There was a similar push to include a ten-year moratorium on states regulating AI for 10 years in the reconciliation bill, but it was defeated at the last minute. because of massive protest.

Please send a letter to the your Senators and member of Congress today - and feel free to change the title and the text to make it more personal.

thanks! Leonie and Cassie, Parent Coalition for Student Privacy
