Do you support a Musician's Fund in Fairfax?

The Battle may be over...

Fairfax Cares Musicians Fund is applying for one of the two available cannabis dispensary licenses in Fairfax as a way to build our sustainable foundation for musicians and went into May's council meeting excited about our launch, only to be met by a packed house of cannabis opponents determined to stop all retail sells in Marin County. And to our dismay, the town council decided at that time to include our previously approved building in the buffer zone.

But with an unwavering commitment to our mission, signatures from our neighbors and your letters of support, we went into June 5th's Council Meeting ready to show the Town Council that a decision to remove us as an option would effectively ban legal cannabis retail in our town.

The meeting was full of exciting twists and turns, and although cannabis opponents thought that they had won the day, our hard work paid off and we were able to turn the tide and remain a viable contender for the medical cannabis dispensary license available in town.

This was a big win for our music community and cannabis activists in Marin and a special thanks go out to all of you who showed up to speak and wrote letters to the town council.

but the FIGHT FOR CANNABIS in Fairfax

IS NOT WON!

Don't think the Coalition Connection will take this zoning defeat lying down.
The opposition has extensive funding and a large group of organized members dedicated to banning all retail front cannabis sales in Marin.  We need your voice to turn back this anti-cannabis wave. If we let outside organizations bully our politicians and intimidate us into silence, how long before they will be pushing for more prohibitions?

Let the Fairfax Town Council know;

opening a legal alternative medical dispensary
at 1620 Sir Francis Drake

We believe that cannabis can help people lead healthier lives and have seen this come true with ourselves and our own friends and families.  This is why we founded FAIRFAX CARES MUSICIANS FUND, to cultivate the health and well-being of our music community by forming a sustainable non-profit medical dispensary that directly benefits Marin’s musicians.

Let’s make the Fairfax Care Musician Fund a reality together by letting the town council know you are in favor of opening an alternative dispensary in Fairfax.

Dear Friends: Using this portal will send your email directly to the Fairfax Town Council, the Planning Commission, and the Town Clerk and also gives us a way to track our goal of reaching 300 letters before the next meeting on June 5th.
Or, if you prefer an alternative, you can send an email to Fairfax Mayor, Barbara Coler, bcoler@townoffairfax.org and ask her to forward it to her all her council members.
