Protect Healthcare Coverage for 770,000 Ohioans

The latest state budget proposal could take healthcare coverage away from 770,000 Ohioans, including over 115,000 adults in Franklin County.

This would be devastating to hundreds of thousands of our neighbors across the state. People wouldn’t be able to get the healthcare and life-saving prescriptions they need when they get sick. More people would be pushed into medical debt and emergency rooms. If this proposal remains in the budget, it could trigger a budget cut of $13.5 billion over the next 2 years -- which will increase pressure on our already stressed local healthcare systems. It could also mean tens of thousands of job losses across the state, and more people struggling with financial instability, stress, illness, and disease.

Our request to state lawmakers is simple: don't abandon the 770,000 Ohioans who need healthcare coverage (through Medicaid) to work and thrive.
