Tell Alexandria's City Council to Divest from Genocide!

Alexandria is invested in Israel's genocide in at least three ways:
- First are Alexandria's Supplemental Retirement Plan, OPEB Trust composite plan, and Defined Benefit Plan, worth over $790 million. Through these funds, the city invests in companies like Lockheed Martin, General Electric, Alphabet, and Amazon. You can read more here: https://bit.ly/AlxDivestReport
- Second, Alexandria invests the vast majority of its cash reserves into the Virginia Treasury’s Local Government Investment Pool (LGIP), which in turn invests in companies that actively profit from Israel's genocide, including Caterpillar, Cisco, Toyota, Microsoft, and others.
- Our tax dollars also help fund the Virginia Israel Advisory Board, a body embedded in the Virginia government that funnels money and grants toward Israeli businesses. You can read more about VIAB here: https://bit.ly/VA4PaliVIAB
Alexandria residents demand that our tax dollars be used ethically -- we don't want any part of funding war crimes. Contact your city council representatives to ask that they take action to divest from genocide, now!
