The Senate bill that funds the military and Department of Defense for 2025 is coming up for vote in the upcoming days. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson and other bigoted right-wing extremists like Nancy Mace have added language to the bill that seeks to punish and hurt military families with trans children by banning the military healthcare system (TriCare) from providing or covering any gender-affirming care that would treat children with diagnosed Gender Dysphoria.

This cruel ban will forcibly de-transition children currently receiving care and will lead to emotional and physical harm, including significantly raising the risk of suicide and self-harm in children who are already deeply vulnerable and marginalized.

Take action now and tell your Senators that they must oppose this abhorrent provision, stand up and protect the families of our service members, and stop the cruelty aimed at defenseless children who have been targeted simply because they are easy targets for unjust and inhumane policies enacted via a federal budget bill.

We must stand tall in solidarity with our working class comrades in the armed forces and prevent their families from suffering as pawns and demand equal protection, dignity and true equality. To give them less would be betrayal.
