Do you want Austin’s senior citizens, middle class families, EMTs, teachers, and young people to be able to afford homeownership (or rent for that matter!)?

The city of Austin will be voting on HOME, a piece of critical legislation to increase housing opportunities for Austinites of all income-levels.

Research shows that policies similar to HOME that increase the supply of missing middle housing REDUCE displacement of vulnerable populations. When Houston passed similar legislation, the population of Black and Hispanic residents increased.

What is the HOME Proposal?
It allows people to build 3 units on one unit of housing. Similar policies have been implemented in Minneapolis and Houston, with tremendous success in increasing supply and balancing home prices.
