Why we are doing this:
Despite receiving a letter signed by 368 faculty and staff, President Wu says his hands are tied and nothing will change in Baruch College’s current approach to COVID. But we know that even CUNY Central has, over the last month, communicated various changes to its 70/30 “mandate” that give colleges greater flexibility. There is also no reason why Baruch cannot supply quality KN95 masks when other colleges have said they would do so.
Baruch faculty and staff are participating in an “email blast” to the president to fill up his inbox with individual messages demanding that he take seriously our concerns and demands for more flexibility and safety.
