End Non-Essential Helicopter Flights Over Our Communities - Letter Campaign

Thousands of residents across Hudson County and the broader New York/New Jersey metropolitan area are being subjected daily to the noise, safety risks, and quality-of-life destruction caused by commercial sightseeing and nonessential helicopter operations — and the industry has faced virtually no meaningful accountability.

Two fatal crashes in seven years have killed eleven people in our region. Tens of thousands of noise complaints have been filed and ignored. A recent FAA routing change has pushed even more helicopter traffic directly over densely populated residential neighborhoods that never consented to become flight corridors for a luxury industry.

The FAA controls the airspace, but our federal and state representatives control the FAA's budget, its oversight, and the legislative environment in which it operates. They have the power to act — and they need to hear from their constituents that this is a voting issue.

Every letter sent through this campaign goes directly to your senators, your House representative, your governor, and your state legislators. It takes two minutes. It creates a constituent contact record that legislative staff track and report. And it adds your voice to a growing coalition of residents, mayors, county officials, and members of Congress who are demanding an end to the era of unaccountable helicopter activity over our homes.
