Dr. Helyeh Doutaghi is an internationally recognized and published scholar of international law, political economy, and armed conflict.

In 2023, the Law and Political Economy Project (LPE) at Yale University hired her as the Deputy Director. On March 3, 2025, allegations spread by a non-authored website came to the attention of Dr. Doutaghi and Yale Law School. Instead of supporting and defending her against anonymous allegations, Yale Law School suspended Dr. Doutaghi and banned her from campus.

Yale's behavior is an attack on academic freedom and part of a trend of attempts to silence dissent and solidarity with Palestine.
