Enough! Community Control of Police and NO Cooperation with ICE - Take a VOTE!

In one weekend, our community saw the viral arrest of a local activist arrested on camera, while giving an interview. No less than 24 hours later, 5 activists were detained and cited by Kent County Sherrif for their demonstration asking Kent County to STOP coordinating and cooperating with ICE.

We know that the city has repeatedly, for years, refused to take oversight of complaints against the police department and that they’ve coordinated directly with ICE in our neighborhoods. They are utilizing their para-military forces to silence the working class into compliance. We demand true accountability and citizen input into how our city works.

We call for community control of police and absolutely NO cooperation between local law enforcement and ICE. We ask that the City Commission take a public vote on whether they will take our proposed policies to a subcommittee for development.
