Ensure Legislators Remember People with Disabilities in FY21 Budget
Illinois legislators are heading back to Springfield to vote on the fiscal year 2021 budget in the coming week. It is more important now, than ever, that we advocate that our State representatives and senators keep people with disabilities, staff members who care for them and providers that employ staff in mind as they work on a very tight state budget.
The state is facing a projected $6 billion loss in revenue. We need to advocate that NO CUTS are made to community services for people with developmental disabilities and mental illness.
