The Fort Worth NewsGuild is on strike, and we need you.

In November 2020, the Fort Worth NewsGuild was recognized by McClatchy. Nearly two years later, our members continue to fight for a fair contract at the bargaining table. The company has forced our hand, and we are now striking to demand the company meet us at the table and work with us, not against us, to create better working conditions for present and future Star-Telegram employees.

The company has subjected us to stalling tactics, stonewalling and an unwillingness to compromise.

We care deeply about the community we live in and cover, and we know the best way to serve our community is to protect the future of local news through fair working conditions. The Star-Telegram has already lost too many journalists to jobs that offer more stability, fair wages and needed benefits. If the company refuses to bargain with us fairly, the Star-Telegram is sure to lose more.
