Farmworkers deserve the right to organize!
Farm workers in fields and packing houses all across Washington are standing together, seeking to unionize and collectively bargain. But unlike most other workers, farm workers do not have guaranteed legal protection to organize under federal or state labor law. Workers have faced employer harassment, intimidation, and retaliation for trying to organize. Without a law protecting their right to organize and collectively bargain, bosses can prevent farm workers from ever winning their union.
This is unacceptable. It's time to change the law in Washington state and empower farm workers to organize for better working conditions.
The people who feed us need our help to get this bill passed. Send an email to your State Senator today and urge them to support SB 6045, collective bargaining rights for farm workers!
