Dear Joseph R. Biden, Kamala Harris, and Monica De La Cruz,

As elected officials, your job in a democracy is to represent the will of the people. Right now, you are doing the opposite of what you are getting paid to do. Instead of listening to the many people who want a ceasefire and for the United States to stop arming Israel, the Biden administration and a large number of Congress are instead escalating the destruction, devastation, and horror within the Gaza Strip. Palestinians are full human-beings, who live and laugh and love and dream and aspire -- just like Americans, just like Israeli's, just like your constituents. Human life is precious, and it must be respected.

The Biden administration said that a ground invasion of Rafah was a "Red Line" with the United States and Israel, promising that he would not send any more bombs to Netanyahu. Instead, Rafah has been invaded, tents with children have been set ablaze, people have been charred to death, and video of a Palestinian baby without a head have circulated all across social media. All across social media, we are witnessing the failure of the Biden administration to keep his word and we are witnessing horrific images of war-torn Rafah. On June 8th, 2022 Israeli forces infiltrated a refugee camp disguised as humanitarian aid workers. Surely, this is a war crime, and enraging. What is happening is a coordinated and cruel attempt by so-called "Israel" at ethnic cleansing. Its been 8 months of this, enough!

Monica De La Cruz, your constituents cannot stand by while you normalize supporting Israel as it engages in a genocide. You are being influenced more by a foreign government than by your own constituency and that is a disgrace. You are a disgraced elected official. You can make it right by humanizing Palestinians and advocating for a permanent ceasefire. We need a permanent ceasefire urgently, and with members of Congress calling for one, then the Biden administration will have to call for one too. He recently did call for a permanent ceasefire, only for Israel to humiliate the United States and invade Rafah more. Biden, you can stop this now. This bipartisanship of unconditionally supporting Israel, while it engages in genocide, is nothing short of horror. You can all still make this right and stop escalating imperialist tensions.

Joseph Biden and Kamala Harris, you have the power to strongarm Netanyahu into compliance.

Monica De La Cruz, you need to stop embarrassing TX15, stop militarizing us even more, stop being a Trump sycophant, and start advocating for peace.
