Fight New York's Climate Emergency Today!
New York just declared a climate emergency, and guess what? There's a bill before New York City Council right now that could eliminate 18 million diesel truck miles per year— equivalent to removing one in five passenger cars from New York City streets, or 37 trips to the moon and back!
Perhaps surprisingly, it's all about garbage. By introducing a commercial waste zone system, the city will avoid up to two million tons of Greenhouse Gas emissions per year, making this one of the most important climate initiatives City lawmakers will decide on this year. Will you send your council member a message today, supporting the bill?
Fill out the form on the right so that we can find your council member to send them a note!
Thanks!
Matt, Alex, Sunshine, Justin, Tok, Phoebe, Patrick, and all our friends with the Transform Don't Trash NYC Coalition**
