Fully Fund our Schools Post COVID

We need to make sure our schools are fully funded and able to meet the challenges of delivering quality education following the COVID pandemic. Charlie Baker and the Legislature need to be held to their commitment to fully fund Massachusetts schools as required by the landmark 2019 legislation, but they are using lower enrollment rates that will shortchange our students. We are asking the Legislature not to put our children's education and future at risk and create a budget proposal that is based on pre-COVID 2019 enrollment numbers.

The current proposal by the Legislature could result in a $90 million budget shortfall. While this is better than the Governor's budget proposal which would produce a funding gap of $152 million, it doesn't go far enough.

This is a time when we need to make sure our schools are receiving the resources they need to recover from the disruption to public education during COVID.

Please support this call to action by writing to your legislator and asking them to create a budget proposal based on pre-COVID 2019 enrollment rates!
