The 2027 Budget was published BUT there is still time to get our people the money they deserve and need!

The Trans Equity Initiative must increase to the full $10M so that Black and Latine Trans led organizations can get the funding they were promised last year.

LGBTQIA+ Immigrants need access to legal services quickly and affirm their identities. The time is now, our neighbors cannot wait until next year. The Caribbean Equality Project with The NYC Trans and Queer Coalition are advocating for $15M in the FY27 Budget. The funds will be split : $7.5M to a new City Council Speaker Initiative to fund non-profits providing legal services to the community and $7.5M to the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs to expand and enhance services specifically for LGBTQIA+ Immigrants.
