Fund Transit, Support Our Communities
Cleaner air, less traffic, and healthier communities – when we as California fund transit, we support our communities. We make it so our neighbors and families can easily and affordably get where they want to go when they want to go. Whether Californians are going to work, to the store, to appointments, or just out with friends – they should be able to rely on transit to take them there.
But California underfunds transit – especially compared to other states. So people are often left waiting too long for a bus or train; while cars clog our streets and pollute our air.
On top of that, our state's biggest transit agencies are on the cusp of having to cut back service as support from the federal government runs out. These cuts will put even more cars on the road, pollution in our lungs, and leave many people without good ways to get where they need to go.
But we can fix this. Right now, your elected representatives in Sacramento are drafting their proposals for what they need to fund with the state’s budget of over $300 Billion. Help them get the message loud and clear: “Fund Transit, Support Our Communities.”
