Get New York Rain Ready, Now!

Every county in New York has experienced a flood disaster declaration in the past ten years alone.
Flooding events are the most common climate-related hazard across the state, with extreme rain events
growing at the fastest rate in the nation.

Our infrastructure is not prepared to withstand the impacts of more extreme rainfall.

That's why the Rise to Resilience (R2R) Coalition strongly urges our State Senators and Assemblymembers to pass the Rain Ready NY Act (S4071A / A7467A).

This important legislation clarifies the powers of sewer authorities throughout the state to manage stormwater and prepare for the increasing frequency and intensity of rainfall due to climate change.

Let’s take this step together and get New York rain ready, now!

Please join us in asking your local State Senator and Assemblymember to pass the Rain Ready NY Act before the end of session!
