The data center rush on Texas is overwhelming communities and available resources. We can’t afford to wait until the regular session of the Texas Legislature convenes next year to address key problems with water use, air pollution, land use, tax breaks, noise and other community impacts. We need Gov. Abbott to call a special session NOW to have the Texas Legislature consider a moratorium and laws to protect Texas water, energy, air, land and communities.
