Thank you for scanning our QR code! University Staff United is the union representing student-facing staff such as hall directors, mental health counselors, and academic advisors.

Our union is currently negotiating its first contract and has been unable to get the university to offer more than a 3% raise to Ann Arbor workers and a 1% raise to Dearborn and Flint staff. Like everyone else, our members are struggling with rapid inflation and years of stagnant wages. The University of Michigan has a record number of students and those students have paid record tuition year after year. The issue isn’t a lack of money, it is a failure to prioritize the people who actually do the work. We are struggling while senior leaders continue to pay themselves exorbitant salaries.

As we celebrate graduation, please consider letting the Vice President of HR, Rich Holcomb, know that work matters and we deserve to be fairly compensated for it by sending the email included here.
