Haringey Council - stop banking with Barclays!
We are calling on Haringey Council to end its banking with Barclays immediately.
The council is currently deciding which bank to use for all its services. It currently banks with Barclays, which supports Israel's genocide in Gaza and occupation of Palestine with loans and underwriting services. In 2024 alone, Barclays provided:
- $2 billion to UN-listed companies associated with the occupation
- $862 million to Lockheed Martin
- $228 million to Leonardo
It is also one of the world's largest funders of fossil fuels, contributing to the climate and nature crises. Tell your councillor to do everything they can to ensure that the council ends its contract with Barclays now!
