Daily the nation as a whole produces tons of trash, and just a portion of that waste is recycled or composted. Reducing waste is an important factor in cleaning up the environment and combating climate change. Recycling is one thing that every person can do to reduce the amount of waste produced. It is important that our General Assembly support efforts to update and enhance the Maryland Recycling Act.
