HB 628, Paid Family and Medical Leave

On April 14th, the Senate Finance Committee voted to send HB 628, the Family Medical Leave Insurance bill, to interim study. Family Medical Leave Insurance has been studied for years. This is a feckless attempt to kill the bill by Senate Republicans.

New Hampshire lawmakers have the opportunity to grow our workforce with the passage of HB 628. With an aging population of seniors who need care, a statewide opioid crisis, and a workforce shortage, HB 628, Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance, is desperately needed to attract and retain New Hampshire's young workers and families.

On April 26th, the full Senate will vote on the bill. The bill has the full support of Senate Democrats, we must ensure that Senate Republicans know how important this bill is for working families and the future of our state.
