Tell Our Delegates to Vote YES on HB7 to UMASK ICE
This bill will soon be up for a vote in the House Public Safety Committee.
Mask-wearing law enforcement has significant adverse implications for public perception, officer-community interactions, and accountability.Members of the public experience fear or intimidation when approached by nonuniformed individuals purporting to act under color of law whose faces are obscured. When officers are not readily identifiable, it undermines public trust, endangers public safety, and hinders legitimate law enforcement operations.
The passage of HB7 will end this intimidating and damaging practice and restore trust and a positive sense of community in our Commonwealth.
