The Child Nutrition Reauthorization Act (CNR) process has begun in Congress, and one of the first steps is to ensure that Healthy Free School Meals for All gets included in the American Families Plan. During the last year we have been able to pass some state and federal support for school meals, and it is vital that we continue to ensure student access to healthy, nutritious meals. This bill would allow breakfast and lunch to be offered for free to all children, which will reduce hunger, increase health and wellness, advance racial equity, and support a good learning environment.
