Heeding God's Call to End Gun Violence Letter Campaign - US Senators + House of Reps
Thank you for participating in Heeding God's Call's letter writing campaign to ask our elected officials to support legislation towards ending gun violence. For 2025, that legislation includes
1. H.R.544 Ghost guns (Torres - NY)
To provide a private right of action against the maker of any component of a ghost gun, and any person who facilitated a sale of the ghost gun, for injury or death resulting from the use of the ghost gun.
2. H.R.545 Protection orders (Torres, Ritchie - NY)
To direct the Bureau of Justice Assistance within the Department of Justice to study the efficacy of extreme risk protection orders on reducing gun violence.
3. H.R.1307 - Office of Gun Violence Prevention Act of 2025 (Front, Maxwell - FL)
To establish the Office of Gun Violence Prevention, and for other purposes.
4. H.R.1456 - Gun Trafficker Detection Act (Casten, Sean - IL)
To require lost or stolen firearms to be reported to law enforcement authorities within 48 hours, and for other purposes.
